Painting Themed Baby Shower with Caila Quinn Burrello

Painting Themed Baby Shower with Caila Quinn Burrello

I had the great honor & privilege to teach a painting demo at Caila Quinn Burrello’s baby shower at Tiny Boxwoods Austin, which was such a creative way to allow her friends to take home something they would never forget the occasion & day by. When she initially reached out to me, she knew she wanted to create a fun, unique activity for her closest friends & loved ones, but she wasn’t sure how to orchestrate it.

Together, we came up with the idea of displaying three sample paintings that I created, and friends could come and go as they pleased and listen to me teach and/or partake in creating a piece of their own art to take home. I hand-mixed the paint prior to the shower so that we could maximize our time painting & learning - and that truly was a game-changing decision! The supplies that I brought to the event to help make it seamless were new aprons, paintbrushes, palettes, easels, and canvases. We had SO much fun, and I know her friends will always cherish these sweet pieces of artwork.

After the painting session was complete, Caila & her guests were seated for a beautiful luncheon accompanied by two acoustic guitar players & singers (Beth // James Band), a decadent lunch, & sweet toasts & conversations. While they ate, I painted a floral arrangement designed by Stem Floral Design with oil paint. I am still working on this piece and can’t wait to show you the finished piece!

Caila truly was the kindest human & such a delight to work with. I can’t wait to see pictures of her newest addition and follow along on her journey on this new chapter she’s about to embark on!
